I’m Riki and I’m proud to call North Oaks home for the past twenty years. My husband, Steve, and I chose this community because of its extraordinary natural character and the way its founding vision still shapes the way we live today.
For over twenty years, I've led engineering and operations teams through complex, regulated environments — managing budgets, navigating audits, and driving real decisions under real scrutiny. I’ve been nationally recognized as being one of the Fiercest Women in Life Sciences because I'm data-driven. I'm solution-oriented. And I know how to bring people together to get things done.

Restore the ability of residents to make proposals for real engagement with the City Council.

Audit recent increases and publish a plain-language explanation of where every dollar goes.

Push major decisions into open session so residents can observe and hold the Council accountable.
✓ NOHOA & City Coordination
Work constructively with NOHOA to maximize the value of both dues and taxes — no duplication, no gaps.
✓ Data-Driven Decision Making
Bring evidence and analysis to every significant vote rather than relying on anecdote or tradition alone.
✓ Natural Resources Stewardship
Initiate strong collaboration with VLAWMO and our Natural Resources Commission to protect lakes, wetlands, and trails.

Few places in the Twin Cities offer what North Oaks does: genuine green space, a unique community structure, and neighbors who care about the same things. That doesn't happen by accident — it requires a City Council that understands what's at stake and actively works to preserve it.
My candidacy is rooted in exactly that understanding. Trees grow, infrastructure ages — and North Oaks must be ready to meet each moment with the same wisdom and intention that founded it. I'm running for City Council to help lead the way.
